Photograph Notes: The railings from Thatcham station can just be made out on the right of the photo. To my left was the River Kennet so looking at the front of the pillbox is not possible without getting wet or going round to the towpath on the opposite side. Quite what the post you see sticking up from the centre of the pillbox is I can't say. I had a closer look and it seems to have been added after the war. [[2039987]]
